Tuesday 22nd September - walks *** – Sunrise at Felixstowe Ferry ad The Grove with Maeva – cloudy start then sunny periods and warm with light winds.

With light winds forecast I had a drive down to Felixstowe Ferry for the sunrise but it was pretty uninspiring due to grey clouds, I started by the Martello tower where there was only a narrow band of gold before walking round the boatyard where I once again spotted a kingfisher whizz past! I had a word with the very nice lady who cleans the loos who said there was a seal on the beach at The Fludyers so I headed there and sure enough there was a young seal having a rest and dozing! It didn’t seem to mind the people walking past, I had my long lens with me so stood at the far end of the bay and snapped away until the dust cart came and it was quickly in the sea and off! We couldn’t go far today was we were having a smart metre fitted so after breakfast I managed my exercises before taking Maevas mum to the doctors and got a bonus walk around the woods with Maeva before snapping a few pics at The Manor end before heading home to make a yummy chicken sandwich which we ate inn the sunny back garden!
